In front of the fortified church a house, built in the 1920s, can be found in which János Kriza’s works are exhibited. János Kriza (Aita Mare, 28 June 1811 – Cluj-Napoca, 26 March 1875), ethnographer, poet, translator, folk poetry collector, and his name is well known from the folk poetry collection entitled Vadrózsák (Wild roses). “In his short life, Kriza was able to find so many values, that none of his followers could do.”(József Faragó). The Bishop of the Unitarian Church was a member of the Hungarian Scientific Academy, and important member of the Kisfaludy Society. The inside of the memorial house was redesigned by Gyula Kemény’s plan, with dr. Anikó Püspöki’s supervision. In one of the memorial house’s rooms an ethnographical exhibition can be visited.
